I love masks! Face masks are a nice way of treating your skin and giving it the extra nourishment it deserves. The use of facial masks may help you with any skin trouble from pimples, having dry skin, oily skin or even dull skin. Masks can greatly help you achieve a better complexion.

Maybe you have heard about the craze about Skin Food's Black Sugar Mask or you may have read it in my Korean skincare routine so now, I finally have another jar of this sweet treat and I'm happy to share my experience with you guys.

Ingredients:
Sucrose, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candella) Wax, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Lanolin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Butyrospermum Parkll (Shea Butter), Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Sorbitan Laurate, Butylparaben, BHT, Caramel, Parfum

This mask is made with black sugar with some essential oil coming from macadamia and shea butter.
It may come off as something which is very abrasive because of sugar but actually the sugar in it is fine and thus there is little irritation given that your skin is still damp. As you massage it on your skin, the sugar dissolves easily which I like so that your skin will not become hypersensitive.

The packaging is very simple and it has that vintage-y feel to it. As you can see the mask is almost solid but don't worry, once it gets contact with water, its going to be all good.

Verdict:

I really like it because it can really exfoliate your skin without leaving it dry. The sugar dissolves easily and after using it, you can really feel that your skin is much softer and brighter.

Pros:
-exfoliating
-non-drying
-skin is brighter

Cons:
-I'm not a fan of its lemon-y smell
-it can irritate acne-prone skin because of sugar
-it doesn't come with a spatula

Nonetheless, even it has 3 cons, I would still really repurchase it!

SkinFood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off Review

"Gold is timeless" this saying proves true. Gold indeed is used in skincare for its ability to improve blood circulation thus acting as a potent anti-aging wonder. On top of that, gold is really moisturizing, it has an anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties and of course, it can leave your skin GLOWING LIKE GOLD!

So I bought the Elishacoy 24k Gold Luxury Ultra Moisture Mask on a promo and it came with a 24k Gold Luxury Serum.

This is mask made with pulp sheet which is very comfortable on the face. This is actually a little bit bigger than those of Etude House's which I think it's better for me having a big face. LOL!

This contains 2 of nature's most powerful skin-restoring agents:

1. Gold can activate the basal cells of the skin which reduces the elasticity of the skin. It thus reduces wrinkles, fine lines, blemishes and marks on the skin, and will make you look younger.

2. Caviar extract was found to speed up the natural production of collagen up to 67% and significantly reduces the protein cross linking (fibronectin). Caviar extract is very rich in vitamins A, D, B1, B2, B6 and micro-elements, which intensify the processes inside the skin cells and at the same time slow down the aging process by moisturizing the skin.

Verdict:

I really like that even though it say's ultra moisture mask, it's not sticky at all. In fact, it's very watery yet very hydrating and brightening. For some unknown reason, my skin looked a little "gold". Normally my skin is a little pinkish without make up but after using this mask, it somehow looks really golden! Maybe indeed there is gold particles in this sheet mask.

PROS:

-very hydrating
-very light

CONS:

-it is a little expensive
-It has a strong smell which I don't like. It's almost like soap

I can't say much about how strong it is in the anti-aging department yet because, well I don't have wrinkles yet nor have the feeling that I am really aging now. (I may be on denial considering I am already 25?) But anyway, I think I won't repurchase this again because of the price. I still love my Etude House's I Need You Mask still. Haha!

What is an essence?

An essence is a concentrated formula that specifically targets wrinkles, fine lines, and dull and uneven skin tones. Korean essences typically contain an active ingredient that optimizes your skin's natural cell turnover rate and with regular use you will notice that your skin is more smoother and brighter.

This is a really important skincare product as it is responsible in increasing the rate of skin regeneration and it treats your skin in a cellular level.

It is very important that you choose the best essence for you. I have been loving fermented essences as it contains probiotics which just doesn't increase cell turnover, furthermore, itcan also help preventing acne.

Nature Republic The First Essence is very similar to SK II Essence as it is also a fermented essence which claims to brighten, moisturize, even out skin tone and maintain a clear complexion

This is the list of the main ingredients and what it does. It actually has the full list of ingredients on the packaging however, I have thrown away mine before. It is actually very wholesome and it has 90% fermented yeast which is absolutely GREAT! The ingredients are good coming from fermented yeast and some herbs which altogether helps the skin to recover and maintain health.

The Packaging:

Just like other essences, it is contained in a frosted glass. I'm not sure what the reason is but maybe it has to do in maintaining the product's effectiveness.

The Product:

It is very light and watery and not sticky at all.

Once applied, it is easily absorbed and it is actually very moisturizing. The brightening effect is also immediate, maybe because of the moisture that it gives to your skin. It is very refreshing and it doesn't sting your skin.

VERDICT:

Pros:
-brightening
-moisturizing
-very light on the skin
-mildly scented
-after a long use, skin is smoother and more even

Cons:
The packaging is a little bit heavy other than that I can't think of anything wrong with it.
Honestly, it will benefit everyone. I have oily skin but yet I still use it to manage oil-moisture balance for a healthier skin.

Cleansing is very important to maintain a clear complexion. Facial cleansers must have the right pH balance and the ingredients must be wholesome in order not to strip away essential lipids from our skin which acts as a barrier.

On my previous post, I have featured Missha's Creamy Latte in Green tea. Today, I will be reviewing another one from it's line because I really love how it cleans my skin without leaving a tight feeling.

Packaging:

The packaging is in a white tube with a very elegant design. This tube contains 172ml of facial cleanser and it's really going to go a long way

The product:

It is a white foaming cleanser with a tinge of pink. It actually is very pretty. It makes me feel like I'm a princess because it kind of shimmers under the light.

What do I think about it?

It claims to brighten your skin tone because it is high in Vitamin C which it really delivered. I noticed that my skin has gone brighter. I usually use this product at night because I don't want to leave my skin sensitive to the sun. This facial cleanser is mild but sometimes, it also leaves my skin a little red. If I were to compare this to it's Green tea variant, I would really pick this for it's brightening effect. In terms of oil control, I think it's pretty much the same as with it's green tea variant which claims to be better for oily skin. Overall, I really like this facial cleanser because it deeply cleanses my skin without having the feeling of my skin tightening up which is not good.

Verdict:

PROS:

-smells really good
-cleanses well
-doesn't dry out my skin
-brightens my skin up
-easy to wash off
-very affordable

CONS:

I honestly can't think of anything bad about this product except that it's hard to find outside Korea.
Being a facial cleanser, it cannpt remove make up thoroughly that's why I think we should be using a cleansing oil if make up is worn first.

5/5

What is it?
It's Banila Co.'s CC Melting pact. It has the perfect ratio of make up. It contains 28% CC cream and 15% powder. It is the perfect hybrid balance of moisture and powder. Having a good moisture balance will result to lesser sebum production and it ca also brighten up the skin tone.

I love it! It's very simple and classy.

On its back, it contains some information in Korean and what shade is it. Mine is Natural Beige.

It also contains a full size mirror which is really good. You no longer need to carry another one.

I love how moisturizing it can be and yes, the brightening effect is really visible!

This is how it looks like on my face. The first pic is my bare skin. The second one is with Banila Co.'s CC cream. Notice that I still have some redness on my skin but it's brighter and the picture on the right hand side is with Banila Co's CC Melting Pact. It's now significantly brighter and it did cover some of the redness.

Having a massage is really relaxing. It increases blood flow to our body thus, giving more oxygen-rich red blood cells to help in the repair process of our body. When we think of it of having a massage, it's always about the body, the back and the head.

Did you ever think of having a facial massage? Just like our other body parts, the face is also filled with muscles. Muscles which may get tired and weak due to unhealthy lifestyle and the natural process of aging that is why facial massages are every bit as important.

Here are a few benefits and tips on how to massage your face as taken from The Face Shop:

In addition, facial massages have been found to help achieving a smaller face by facilitating lymphatic drainage. Experts recommend you don't exceed 20 minutes when massaging the face. Massaging the face for a long time may in fact weaken our facial muscles which may lead to skin sagging and cause premature wrinkles.

So there you have it! Together, let's achieve a healthier body and more beautiful skin!
Cheers to that! <3
